Sabah Mission Trip 2008 - Day 2 Part II

---------------------------------------------------------------
short note : Youth Sunday is on 13-Jul. Be aware of the Youth Week program.
---------------------------------------------------------------

After the lunch, we took some rest before the next activity - games. While resting, those brothers and sisters in Christ at Mononood started playing they traditional music and dance.

We also participate in the dance

Initially we plan to have the games outdoor but due to hot weather, we had it inside the sanctuary. We played a few telematch games. All of us were so enjoyed and having a lots of fun.

Due to water shortage, by God grace, we had a chance to bath by the river. It was about 5 minutes walk from our place.

After under hot sun for whole day, taking bath at the river was definitely the most fun experience in our mission trip. Sisters have to wear sarong and they learned the skill of how to change their wet cloth under the cover by sarong..

Night fall early at East Malaysia. After dinner, we had Kebaktian Malam (Revival Night).

children were practising a song to be presented during Kebaktian Malam

Rev. Cecilia leading prayer with mission team before Kebaktian Malam start.

Children choir sang to the congregation

These are the angels of Mononood. They sang very well !!!

Rev. Lee was the speaker of the night. He shared about Christians to be the salt and light of the world.

During the Kebaktian Malam, they turned on the generator so that we have electricity. After the service, the generator is shut-off and turned the whole Mononood into dark. But we can see the countless stars shinning in the whole clear sky. Unfortunately, our low-end point-and-shot digital camera unable to take down the amazing view to share with you.

Why everyone had surprise expression?

oh...our Mononood brothers just shot a wild pig....hurray, we have wild pig curry on next day! That was first experience for most of us to see a dead wild pig.

with this surprise, that concluded our hectic but meaningful 2ND day of our mission trip!
