Date : 22 - 24 Aug, 2008
Praise the Lord for His grace that leaded our choir in this singspiration tour.
This was the first time in BMCMC history that our church choir have a concert tour. Afte a few months of preparation and practices, finally departed from BM headed to Langkawi on 22-Aug 8:30am.
We arrived at Kuala Perlis at around 11:30am and had our lunch before boarding.
After that, we parked our car under a malay kampong "long leg" house. We were charged RM8 per day per car.
At 12:30noon, our ferry arrived at the jetty. It is a 450 seats ferry which consider quite a big ferry. Unfortunately, it took them almost 1 hour to board the passenger because they only open one door.
While waiting, we passed our time by snapping some photos.
That was Wai Yen first trip to Langkawi. Look at the the beg she brought...ha...ha..
These youngsters followed along their parents who are choir members. They were arranged to act in a sketch. At least let them play their part in this tour.

Praise the Lord for taking care of us through out the whole journey.

This was the first time in BMCMC history that our church choir have a concert tour. Afte a few months of preparation and practices, finally departed from BM headed to Langkawi on 22-Aug 8:30am.
We arrived at Kuala Perlis at around 11:30am and had our lunch before boarding.
Let's give sister Ai Lee (1st from left) a big hand, although she is 7 months pregnant, she still joined and sing in tour.
After the long wait, finally it's our turn for boarding.
It took us around 45 mins to reach Langkawi jetty. A few church members from Langkawi Methodist Church came to fetch us. Thanks for their patient because as mentioned before, the ferry only open 1 exit which created bottle neck. They fetched us with their own vehicles.
Langkawi is famous with sunshine and beautiful beaches. You can tell from this design.
We were brought straight away to the church. Few families were arranged to stay at the church hostel (1st floor above the church). Some were arranged to stay at a budget motel just few steps away. The church hostel are quite well furnished. It has 5 rooms which can cater at least 5 in a room, a spacious living room, toilet and kicthen. They name these rooms with Spiritual Fruits.
After settled down, we were gathered at the sanctuary for rehearsal.
Then we went to a restaurant opposite the church to have our dinner. It is a rather small restaurant because only operate by 3 persons. Just imagine that after we ordered the dishes, then the chef only went to market to buy the things we ordered. Because of this, we waited more then 1 hour for our dinner to serve.
Rev. Lee can't wait and he helped to serve the drinks.
After a "rush" dinner, we quickly went to change our choir uniform. The worship started at 8:00pm every Friday. Bro. Wei Sin leaded the P&W, then our choir sang 7 songs. Bro. Chin Seng shared his testimony and the kids presented a sketch. The worship ended at 9:45pm. After we changed our cloth, we proceeded to the same restaurant to "continue" our dinner - the pending dishes that supposed to serve before ....tom yam soup. Sounds funny isn't it? Anyway, we had a good fellowship.
Next day (23-Aug), our ferry schedule was at 5:30pm. So, we went for a day tour at Langkawi. We went to Bird Paradise. We got a special rate for the ticket because one of the church member is the staff there. See, God is so nice!
At 5:40pm sharp, we departed from Langkawi jetty heading back to K. Perlis jetty. We went to a seafood restaurant nearby to have our dinner.
We had a great time and good dinner. Then we checked in to a budget motel at Kangar. Surprisingly, this small motel is very nice and clean. One thing even surprised us was the rooms are bigger than those RM300++ superior delux room at hotel. According to Rev. Lee, they charged RM80/room.
After taking a short rest, at 9:45pm, we went to Kangar Methodist Chapel for rehearsal. It was so coincident that, it's our choir chairman, bro. Shen Guang's birthday. So we had a cake cutting ceremony for him after the rehearsal.
Next morning (24-Aug), we checked out from the motel and straight away heading to the chapel which locates just 5 minutes away from the motel. We took a group photo before the 9am Sunday Service. Look at the choir uniform! This is our new choir uniform and it was the first time we wear it. The members here are most students from Perlis University and teacher collage.

After Sunday Service, we went to Changlon to have our lunch. This restaurant is famous with "white" curry fish head.
With that, it ended our 3 days 2 night choir tour. In this tour, we traveled with our own vehicles, in total of 8.
Praise the Lord for taking care of us through out the whole journey.
